the hard line
child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexual content involving minors are met with zero tolerance — everywhere, no exceptions. we disable it, preserve what the law requires, and report to the relevant child-safety authorities (e.g. NCMEC / INHOPE-network hotlines).
you may not use dy.ing to
- threaten violence or terrorism, or promote it
- harass, stalk, or dox people
- share non-consensual intimate imagery
- engage in human trafficking or exploitation
- run malware, ransomware, phishing, credential theft, scams, or fraud
- impersonate someone to deceive or harm
- send unsolicited bulk mail, or use masks/mailboxes to spam, flood, or harass others or their mail systems
- distribute content you have no right to (copyright or trademark infringement)
- probe, scan, hack, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- get around rate limits, quotas, abuse controls, or security measures
- resell or sublicense the service without permission
- do anything illegal where you are or where the service operates
how we enforce this
we can’t read your content, so we work from good-faith reports, the identifiers in them, metadata, behavioural signals, and lawful process. depending on severity, we may:
- remove the specific resource (note, file, link, mask, or mailbox) by identifier
- suspend or terminate the account
- preserve the underlying encrypted data and metadata where a report or authority may need it
- report to the appropriate hotlines or authorities
- withhold refunds for terminated paid accounts
these decisions are at our discretion and may happen with or without notice. we try to keep our response proportionate and quick. think we got an action wrong? contact appeal@dy.ing and we’ll take another look.
reporting abuse
report violations to abuse@dy.ing with the exact link or identifier on dy.ing the report is about — we can act on a specific resource, not a vague complaint. security issues go to security@dy.ing.
changes
we may update this policy; the date above tracks the latest version, and continued use means you accept it.
